Our Library contains over 85,000 obituaries and death notices from local Butte County newspapers The collection covers the years 1855-2011. This is not a full collection but we are working on updating our records as we acquire new sources. (Note: Some of the records are from the adjacent counties of Colusa, Glenn, Plumas, Sutter, Tehama and Yuba)

We will do free look-ups of all letters (A-Z). Copies of records are $5.00 donation each.
